Windom Park Baptist Church, Minneapolis

This congregation was organized in 1888 as a mission of the Baptist Union. It erected a small church on the northeast corner of 13th St. and Madison Ave., NE. They sold the building in 1893 to Elim Swedish Baptist and proceeded to meet in rented halls on Central Ave., later disbanding due to dwindling numbers and growing financial burdens. By 1897 some of the members had joined Immanuel Baptist (Bloomington and 23rd St., South), others were involved with the formation of the Berean Mission Sunday School, sponsored by First Baptist Church, which erected a building at 2318 Central Ave., and some members had joined Grace Church. In 1904 former members of the original mission formed a new congregation, calling it Loyalty Baptist Church. Three years later, they purchased a lot at Pierce St. and Lowry Ave, NE, and in 1909 reached an agreement with the Minneapolis Baptist Union and First Baptist Church to unite in building a church on it. Called Windom Church, the brick and stucco, domestic-looking church, was designed by architect Henry Wild Jones and completed in 1910.  In 2013 the building was occupied by All Nations Baptist Church.
